Video games are one of Britain’s biggest forms of entertainment, outselling the films sometimes. These day more money is being spent on making video games than on games which sounds ridiculous. Games have definitely progressed from the niche market to family loving entertainment systems. Tom Watson, a former Cabinet Office, is among the gamers that think games are not being taken seriously. Seeing as he is a gamer himself, he should be able to decide whether games should be taken seriously. He agrees that there are unpleasant content in video games but that shouldn’t be able to decide for the whole games industry.
